Colored Water

As water line improvement projects continue in the area, you may occasionally experience brown or discolored culinary water.  This is a temporary condition that can occur when construction activity disturbs sediment within the water system.  

If you notice discolored water, the recommended way to flush your household water lines is to turn on the cold water faucet in a bathroom bathtub and let it run for several minutes.  Using a bathtub faucet helps protect the screens and aerators in your sinks and other fixtures from becoming clogged with sediment.
